GRADUATE STUDIES ON THE ISLAND
Argosy University, Hawai`i Campus is located in downtown Honolulu on O?ahu. Additional satellite locations on Maui and in Hilo on the Island of Hawai`i offer programs to communities on the neighbor islands. These locations connect the campus to Hawai`i and to the communities of the Pacific Islands and the Pacific Rim. Students enjoy the cultural and recreational opportunities that these locations provide. THE COLLEGE OF PSYCHOLOGY AND BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES
AMERICAN SCHOOL OF PROFESSIONAL PSYCHOLOGY

The MASTER OF ARTS (MA) IN CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY program prepares students with the clinical skills required to serve the mental health needs of individuals and groups with diverse backgrounds. Students develop proficiency in clinical observation, assessment, intervention and evaluation. The program also includes a comprehensive focus on clinical psychology theory and research. It is designed for students who are interested in a terminal degree and practice as a master?s-level clinician, or for students planning to transfer to the PsyD Program.

The MASTER OF ARTS (MA) IN SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGY program is dedicated to producing ethical, responsible, and competent school psychologists who can serve effectively in a number of professional roles. Students develop core competencies in psychological assessment, intervention and consultation, as well as cultural and individual diversity. Graduates of the program may be eligible for Department of Education certification and will be prepared for employment as school psychologists.

The MASTER OF SCIENCE (MS) IN PSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY program is incorporates coursework and clinical practice to train postdoctoral psychologists to prescribe medications independently, appropriately, effectively, and safely. It is a 32-credit-hour program with a practicum component requiring treatment of 100 patients. Upon successful completion of the program, students will have the education and experience to prescribe psychopharmacological medications consistent with state and federal laws, and work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other health care providers in order to coordinate care. This program is intended to prepare students for the Psychopharmacology Exam for Psychologists (PEP).

The DOCTOR OF EDUCATION (EDD) IN COUNSELING PSYCHOLOGY program prepares counselors from a variety of settings with the skills and credentials necessary to develop leadership in supervisory, training, and teaching positions in the profession. The program emphasizes the development of basic counseling skills while focusing on marriage, family, and child counseling. It is intended for students with a background in mental health, social work, school counseling, pastoral counseling, and psychiatric nursing who wish to earn the terminal degree in the field. Students develop new interests and levels of competency through an applied, research-practitioner approach to the role of professional counselor.

The DOCTOR OF PSYCHOLOGY (PSYD) IN CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY program prepares students to deliver basic diagnostic and therapeutic services to diverse populations including, individuals, groups and families. By integrating theory, training, research, and practice, students develop and apply the clinical skills of observation, assessment, intervention, and evaluation. Students may choose an optional concentration in Child & Family Clinical Practice or Diversity in Clinical Practice.

The DOCTOR OF PSYCHOLOGY (PSYD) IN SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGY program prepares students to become nationally certified school psychologists in accordance with criteria developed by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). It is designed for students who plan to become leaders in district psychology departments or trainers in programs at the university level. Graduates of the program may also be eligible for licensure as psychologists at the state level, as well as certified school psychologists, which may enable them to provide school psychology services as independent consultants in private practice.

MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPY
The MASTER OF ARTS (MA) IN MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPY program develops the theoretical and clinical elements required to provide effective counseling to individuals, couples, families and groups. The program introduces students to basic counseling skills that incorporate foundations of applied psychology and systems theory into the development of appropriate clinical relationships. It is intended for students who wish to continue professional development or pursue a career change. The curriculum is designed to meet the present national and Hawai`i state requirements for licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Students should contact the state in which they plan to practice to verify licensing requirements. This program is offered through weekend courses to allow concurrent employment.

ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP
The DOCTOR OF EDUCATION (EDD) IN ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP program is designed for working professionals who wish to develop the knowledge and skills required to hold leadership positions in viable, complex organizations that are capable of meeting future challenges. We focus on transformational leadership skills in addition to managerial attributes. This approach prepares students for strategic challenges such as increasing globalization, changing economies, societal shifts, and individual-organizational relationships.

COLLEGE OF EDUCATION
The MASTER OF ARTS IN EDUCATION (MAED) IN ADULT EDUCATION & TRAINING program is designed for the working professional associated with adult learning, training, or staff development in business, government, and/or other private or public organizations. The goal of the program is to enhance the knowledge and skills in the area of adult learning for employment and other organizational settings.

The DOCTOR OF EDUCATION (EDD) IN EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP program is designed to enhance educational leadership strengths. Students learn innovative and collaborative techniques used to manage and govern educational institutions. The program prepares students for leadership positions in school district, regional, state or national administration. Students must choose a concentration in Higher Education Administration or K-12 Education.

The DOCTOR OF EDUCATION (EDD) IN INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP program draws upon educational theories and practices to help students discover new learning techniques for diverse audiences. Students enrolled in this program master teaching methodologies, hone classroom skills, and gain the knowledge required to become curriculum administrators or educational leaders with a focus on instruction. Students must choose a concentration in Higher Education or K-12 Education.

COLLEGE OF BUSINESS
The MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (MBA) program offers a solutions-based, action-oriented approach to organizational change and human dynamics. It is designed to develop a new breed of leader ? those who can identify challenges and opportunities, draw on the latest technology and information, use advanced analytical and planning approaches, and execute plans for positive change. Core courses include a broad array of foundation subjects, all relevant to meeting challenges and problems encountered in modern organizations. Students are required to choose from a variety of concentrations: Customized Professional Concentration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems Management, International Business, Management, or Marketing. This program can enhance future career potential, and prepare students for postgraduate work in business.

The DOCTOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (DBA) program provides industry and academic professionals the opportunity to build upon core skills and knowledge gained through the master?s program. Students develop advanced comprehension of theoretical and applied literature in a chosen discipline, and a higher level of competence in conducting action research. The program is designed to develop critical knowledge and skills for success in service to the profession and the community, and in attaining credentials essential to leading, consulting and teaching. Students must choose a concentration in Accounting, Customized Professional Concentration, Information Systems, International Business, Management, or Marketing.
