AMERICAN SCHOOL OF PROFESSIONAL PSYCHOLOGY
The MASTER OF ARTS (MA) IN COUNSELING PSYCHOLOGY The program develops the attitudes, knowledge, and skills essential to becoming thoughtful, ethical professionals who can serve as counselors in a wide variety of government, community, and private settings. The degree can lead to licensure, independent counseling practice, and professional status that does not require a doctoral degree. The program can be completed in two to three years. Graduates meet the academic requirements for the Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) examination in the state of California. As licensing requirements vary from state to state, students should verify the requirements with the state in which they plan to practice.
The MASTER OF ARTS (MA) IN COUNSELING PSYCHOLOGY/MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPY program emphasizes a practitioner-oriented philosophy, integrating applied theory and field experience. It is designed for students who wish to pursue the counseling psychology track while receiving graduate-level training in the core curricular areas, including supervised clinical practice. Curriculum shares a common core with most of the first- and second-year course offerings of the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. The program is designed to meet requirements for licensure as a marriage and family therapist in the state of California. As licensing requirements differ from state to state, students should verify the current requirements of the state in which they plan to practice.
The DOCTOR OF EDUCATION (EDD) IN COUNSELING PSYCHOLOGY program prepares counselors from a variety of settings with the skills and credentials necessary to develop leadership in supervisory, training, and teaching positions in the profession. The program is intended for students with a background in mental health, social work, school counseling, pastoral counseling, and psychiatric nursing who wish to earn the terminal degree in the field. Students develop new interests and levels of competency through an applied, research-practitioner approach to the role of professional counselor.
ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP
The DOCTOR OF EDUCATION (EDD) IN ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP program is designed for working professionals who wish to develop the knowledge and skills required to hold leadership positions in viable, complex organizations that are capable of meeting future challenges. We focus on transformational leadership skills in addition to managerial attributes. This approach prepares students for strategic challenges such as increasing globalization, changing economies, societal shifts, and individual-organizational relationships.

COLLEGE OF EDUCATION
The MASTER OF ARTS IN EDUCATION (MAED) IN EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP program is designed to instill key philosophies, theories and values that impact education. It prepares students to improve policies and practices within organizations through the motivation and supervision of others. Students develop skills needed to design, implement, and evaluate educational programs and curricula. Courses include educational law, educational finance, organizational communication, human resource management, instruction supervision, and organizational management.
The MASTER OF ARTS IN EDUCATION (MAED) IN INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP program examines the challenges and problems encountered in today?s educational environment. Coursework encompasses the historical, philosophical, psychological, social, technical, and theoretical aspects of education. Students develop skills in analysis, oral and written communication, problem solving, critical thinking, team building, and computer technology. The program is designed for those who wish to develop or enhance classroom skills, become curriculum supervisors, or become educational leaders with a focus on instruction.
The DOCTOR OF EDUCATION (EDD) IN COMMUNITY COLLEGE EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP program offers an accelerated course of study intended to meet the needs of community college administrators who are looking to move into senior administrative positions (such as president, vice-president, dean, and director) in community colleges.
The DOCTOR OF EDUCATION (EDD) IN EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP program is designed to enhance educational leadership strengths. Students learn innovative and collaborative techniques used to manage and govern educational institutions. The program prepares students for leadership positions in school district, regional, state or national administration. Students must choose a concentration in Higher Education Administration or K-12 Education.
The DOCTOR OF EDUCATION (EDD) IN INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP program draws upon educational theories and practices to help students discover new learning techniques for diverse audiences. Students enrolled in this program master teaching methodologies, hone classroom skills, and gain the knowledge required to become curriculum administrators or educational leaders with a focus on instruction. Students must choose a concentration in Higher Education or K-12 Education.

COLLEGE OF BUSINESS
The MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (MBA) program offers a solutions-based, action-oriented approach to organizational change and human dynamics. It is designed to develop a new breed of leader ? those who can identify challenges and opportunities, draw on the latest technology and information, use advanced analytical and planning approaches, and execute plans for positive change. Core courses include a broad array of foundation subjects, all relevant to meeting challenges and problems encountered in modern organizations. Students are required to choose from a variety of concentrations: Customized Professional Concentration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems Management, International Business, Management, or Marketing. This program can enhance future career potential, and prepare students for postgraduate work in business.
The MASTER OF SCIENCE (MSM) IN MANAGEMENT program is designed to meet the operations and leadership needs of managers and supervisors in public, private, and not for profit industries. A goal of this program is to enable students to diagnose multiple organizational circumstances, determine and evaluate options, and implement and evaluate a plan of action. This concentration will benefit individuals, practitioners, consultants, and advisors who are or want to become responsible for administrating for-profit and not-for- profit organizations.
The DOCTOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (DBA) program provides industry and academic professionals the opportunity to build upon core skills and knowledge gained through the master?s program. Students develop advanced comprehension of theoretical and applied literature in a chosen discipline, and a higher level of competence in conducting action research. The program is designed to develop critical knowledge and skills for success in service to the profession and the community, and in attaining credentials essential to leading, consulting and teaching. Students must choose a concentration in Accounting, Customized Professional Concentration, Information Systems, International Business, Management, or Marketing.
