AMERICAN SCHOOL OF PROFESSIONAL PSYCHOLOGY
The MASTER OF ARTS (MA) IN CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY program prepares students with the clinical knowledge and skills required to serve the mental health needs of individuals and groups with diverse backgrounds. Students develop proficiency in clinical observation, assessment, intervention and evaluation. The program also includes a comprehensive focus on clinical psychology theory and research. It is designed for students who are interested in a terminal degree and practice as a master?s-level clinician, or for students planning to transfer to the PsyD Program.
The DOCTOR OF PSYCHOLOGY (PSYD) IN CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY program prepares students to deliver basic diagnostic and therapeutic services to diverse populations including, individuals, groups and families. By integrating theory, training, research, and practice, students develop and apply the clinical skills of observation, assessment, intervention, and evaluation. Students may choose an optional concentration in Child & Adolescent Psychology, Geropsychology, Marriage/Couples & Family Therapy, or Neuropsychology.

COUNSELOR EDUCATION
The MASTER OF ARTS (MA) IN MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING program offers practicing health services providers and those planning to enter the field extensive knowledge and the broad range of skills required to provide effective counseling to diverse patient populations. The coursework and practicum are designed to meet the current educational requirements for appropriate master?s-level licensure in the state of Florida. As licensing requirements vary from state to state, students should verify the current requirements with the state in which they plan to practice.
The MASTER OF ARTS (MA) IN SCHOOL COUNSELING program integrates theoretical foundations of counseling with fundamental counseling skills, and field experience for the application of appropriate interaction and intervention in a school setting. Curriculum focuses on behavior management, wellness, career and personal growth, and pathology. Graduates of the program can serve as effective and ethical professionals with a demonstrated knowledge of social and cultural diversity in adherence to the principles of the American School Counselor Association.
The DOCTOR OF EDUCATION (EDD) IN COUNSELOR EDUCATION & SUPERVISION prepares counselors for a variety of settings by providing the advanced skills and knowledge necessary to provide leadership and advocacy. The field is dedicated to both the academic preparation and comprehensive supervision of counselors across multiple settings. This course of study aligns with the Master of Arts (MA) in Professional Counseling program to encourage entry-level counseling students to work toward becoming doctoral-level advanced practitioners, educators, and supervisors.
MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPY
The MASTER OF ARTS (MA) IN MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPY program develops the theoretical and clinical elements required to provide effective counseling to individuals, couples, families and groups. The program introduces students to basic counseling skills that incorporate foundations of applied psychology and systems theory into the development of appropriate clinical relationships. It is intended for students who wish to continue professional development or pursue a career change. The curriculum is designed to meet the present national and Florida state requirements for licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Students should contact the state in which they plan to practice to verify licensing requirements. This program is offered through weekend courses to allow concurrent employment.
ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP
The DOCTOR OF EDUCATION (EDD) IN ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP program is designed for working professionals who wish to develop the knowledge and skills required to hold leadership positions in viable, complex organizations that are capable of meeting future challenges. We focus on transformational leadership skills in addition to managerial attributes. This approach prepares students for strategic challenges such as increasing globalization, changing economies, societal shifts, and individual-organizational relationships.

The MASTER OF ARTS IN EDUCATION (MAED) IN INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP program examines the challenges and problems encountered in today?s educational environment. Coursework encompasses the historical, philosophical, psychological, social, technical, and theoretical aspects of education. Students develop skills in analysis, oral and written communication, problem solving, critical thinking, team building, and computer technology. The DOCTOR OF EDUCATION (EDD) IN COMMUNITY COLLEGE EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP program offers an accelerated course of study intended to meet the needs of community college administrators who are looking to move into senior administrative positions (such as president, vice president, dean, and director) in community colleges.
The DOCTOR OF EDUCATION (EDD) IN EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP program is designed to enhance educational leadership strengths. Students learn innovative and collaborative techniques used to manage and govern educational institutions. The MASTER OF SCIENCE (MSM) IN MANAGEMENT program is designed to meet the operations and leadership needs of managers and supervisors in public, private, and not for profit industries.
