Founded by the Sisters of Mercy, Saint Joseph College offers students solid professional training grounded in a tradition rich in the liberal arts and responsive to society's pressing needs. Its co-educational Graduate School, established in 1959, allows a wide range of professionals to pursue master's degrees or graduate certificates leading to career advancement or transition. Today, nearly 800 women and men are enrolled in traditional or online graduate classes.

The beautiful 84-acre campus located in West Hartford is also home to Connecticut's Catholic Women's College and The Prime Time Program: a bachelor's degree program for adults.

Saint Joseph College offers students research privileges in a technologically-enhanced library with more than 130,000 volumes and an Information Technology Network Center. The Carol Autorino Center houses a 365-seat auditorium and Art Gallery which sponsor a host of cultural events throughout the year. The O'Connell Athletic Center features a fitness center, multipurpose gymnasium with indoor track, a dance studio and a six-lane pool, complemented by an outdoor athletics complex.

Financial Aid is available through the Federal Stafford Loan program, selective Graduate Assistantships, and limited academic scholarships sponsored through academic departments.
