The Graduate Division of Mount Saint Mary’s University, Los Angeles offers advanced degree programs in Business, Creative Writing, Education, Film and Television, Humanities, Nursing, Psychology, Physical Therapy, and Religious Studies. Women and men of all ages are welcome to join the University's learning community for evening and weekend programs at the beautiful, historic Doheny campus just minutes from downtown Los Angeles. Health programs at Mount St. Mary's have earned the respect of colleagues across the country.
The 2013 edition of U.S. News and World Report Best Graduate Schools rank the College's doctoral program in Physical Therapy and the master's program in Nursing among the nation's top graduate schools. The MSN program was selected for leadership in the health field by the Los Angeles Business Journal, and the graduate mental health program in Counseling Psychology holds a special place in Los Angeles as a training center for mental health professionals in the field of counseling Hispanic clientele. As of Summer 2013 Mount St. Mary's began offering on-campus and online deaf/hard of hearing teacher credential and master's programs through an exciting partnership with the highly distinguished John Tracy Clinic.
During fall 2013 the graduate humanities program offered a travel study trip to Spain. In the fine arts, both a new MFA Program in Film and Television and a new MFA program in Creative Writing were opened beginning fall 2014. The MBA program is characterized by the College's commitment to a wholistic understanding of today's business climate and offers a capstone consulting project in the international hub of Los Angeles.
A travel study trip to China is also featured, where faculty experts in international trade introduce students to the unique aspects of doing business in China. Teacher educators will find a highly dedicated faculty who make it a point to guide students through the complexities of the teacher education certification process in California. Students interested in studying religion often find themselves asking questions more than receiving answers. Such is the nature of examining core beliefs and ultimate meaning, while reflecting on just practices! Humanities students take courses in cultural studies, writing, literature, and history for a master's degree or as individual courses for personal intellectual development.
If you would like to speak with a faculty member in your chosen field, arrangements will be made for you to meet in person. For an appointment or if you prefer to speak with admissions professionals, feel free to contact by phone at 213-477-2800.
