Mount St. Joseph University is a Catholic academic community grounded in the spiritual values and vision of its founders, the Sisters of Charity. The University educates its students through interdisciplinary liberal arts and professional curricula emphasizing values, integrity and social responsibility. The Mount’s Hallmark has always been smaller class sizes and personalized attention for all its undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students, along with a commitment to preparing students who are career-ready and leadership-focused.

Serving more than 700 graduate students, the Mount's advanced degree programs specialize in the cultivation of leadership skills in business, depth in ministry, and expertise in the teaching and health professions.
Graduate degree programs include: education, religious studies, organizational leadership, business administration, nursing, a doctor of nursing practice in health systems leadership and a doctor of physical therapy degree. The Mount offers a Saturday MBA and a Saturday Master of Science in Organizational Leadership (MSOL) program designed for working professionals to take classes on Saturday mornings at the Mount to earn their master’s degree in about two years.

In addition to its graduate programs, the Mount offers more than 45 undergraduate degree programs. Small class sizes encourage individualized learning, and students have opportunities for career experience, leadership development, service learning, and participation in a wide variety of activities. The Mount's scenic campus overlooking the Ohio River is a 15-minute drive away from downtown Cincinnati, Ohio, a cosmopolitan Midwestern city.
