The Counseling Psychology programs at Mount Saint Mary’s University are collaborative and culturally-focused programs designed to train students who wish to make a positive impact working with individuals, families, schools, nonprofit organizations and community agencies. Specifically, our counseling psychology programs prepare students to serve individuals from underrepresented and underserved communities; and our diverse faculty and student body enhance our students’ learning experience by providing them with a variety of worldviews and cultural perspectives to inform their practice. Our small class sizes also allow our students to connect with professors and receive individual attention and mentorship to ensure that they get the most out of their education.

M.S. in Counseling Psychology (General)
The two-year, 36-unit General Counseling Psychology specialization at Mount Saint Mary's University allows students to develop into change agents who use their counseling and advocacy skills to serve diverse populations in nonprofit and educational organizations.

The 60-unit Marriage & Family Therapy specialization at Mount Saint Mary's University provides students with the educational qualifications to apply for licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy in California.

M.S. in Counseling Psychology - ¡Enlaces! Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT)
¡Enlaces! is a certificate program that is embedded into the Marriage & Family Therapy (MFT) specialization. Clinical courses are taught bilingually in English and Spanish to prepare students for working with Spanish-speaking clients.
Together with your faculty advisor, you will tailor a program of study to fit your individual interests and goals.
