The Master of Social Work programs prepare graduates for licensure and to serve society in clinical, academic, government, non-profit, and corporate settings throughout the world.
Rutgers MSW degree is affordable, accessible, and can be earned in as little as two years, or one year if qualified for advanced standing. Students complete classes at any of Rutgers’ three main campuses (New Brunswick, Newark, and Camden), online or at off-campus locations.
Rutgers MSW students have the advantage of specializing in a number of areas in human services. Students choose a clinical or management and policy specialization and can tailor their education through embedded certificates and global programs in Romania, Israel, India, China, and Mexico.
Our faculty members are a dynamic community of leaders — tenured professors advancing the field of social work through original, published research, and professors of teaching and professional practice and part-time lecturers actively working in local communities and bringing those experiences into the classroom.
