    Welcome to The UT Space Institute, a premier graduate institute located in Tullahoma, TN on Woods Reservoir adjacent to Arnold Air Force Complex. The setting sun over the lake offers students peace and tranquility while preparing students for the opportunity to study and compete in the fields of scientific and engineering technology. Opportunities for Graduate Research Assistants are available to qualified candidates in a broad range of research areas. Research in Applied Dynamics, Computation Methods, Laser Applications, Materials Processing and Biomedical are just a few. To be competitive for these assistantships, students must have a GPA of 3.2 or above.

    Qualified students will receive a stipend (paycheck), health insurance and tuition waiver. Assistantships are limited and are only offered to highly qualified candidates. All programs at UTSI require applicants submit test scores and transcripts at the time of submission. GRE scores are required for all departments both domestic and international. International students are required to submit TOEFL/IELTS scores when applying.

    DEGREES
    The Department of Mechanical, Aerospace and Biomedical Engineering (MABE) offers the Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees with majors in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or Engineering Science.

    The Physics Department at UTSI offers Doctoral degrees to qualified candidates who have completed the main core courses at the University of Tennessee Knoxville and successfully completed and passed the comprehensive exam.

    UTSI’s Industrial and Systems Engineering Department/Engineering Management offers distant education students an educational experience that balances technical depth with problem solving skills in both the business and engineering aspects. The program includes Master and Doctoral degrees for students who are off campus and cannot attend on campus classes.

    ONLINE DEGREES
    M.S.: Industrial & Systems Engineering (Engineering Management concentration).
    Ph.D.: Industrial & Systems Engineering (Engineering Management concentration).
    M.S: Aerospace, Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering, Engineering Science.
    Ph.D: Aerospace, Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering, Engineering Science.
