Information for International Applicants

International graduate students should review important information before starting your application.

Graduate application procedures:

Prospective graduate students must start an electronic applicationIt is important that you use an e-mail account that you check frequently.  Failure to do so could result in a missed opportunity as we will send pertinent correspondence to that e-mail address.

If you have already created an account, you can click here. It is through this account that you will be able to check your application status and register for upcoming graduate events.

  • Recent Stockton graduates who qualify for Direct Entry into a Stockton graduate program have a streamlined application process. Please visit the Direct Entry website for more information.
  • International Applicants have additional application requirements. Please visit the International Graduate Student Admission page for more information.

After starting your online application, you must follow the checklist to ensure that you have entered all of the necessary and required information to complete the application. While applying, you have the option of saving the information you entered and coming back later to finish. Only completed applications will be considered and reviewed by the Admissions Committee.

non-refundable $50 application fee must accompany the completed online application. Applications are not considered complete and will not be reviewed until the fee has been paid.

The application fee may be paid conveniently online or by mail via a check/money order.

Supplemental CAS applicants must pay the fee online only in addition to the fee paid to the centralized application system.

For more information on fee waivers, see the Application Fee Waivers page.

After you submit your application, you will need to upload the required supplemental items as required by your program (e.g. resume, teaching certificate, or program forms).
Enter the contact information including the email addresses for each of your recommenders. The information entered will automate an email request for your letter of recommendation to be submitted.
Please check your program of study admission's criteria tab for more details on letters of recommendation.
Official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended (including Stockton), even if your degree was not conferred, are required. Your application will not be reviewed without all transcripts submitted.

Please note:

Some graduate program admissions protocols require calculation of a cumulative GPA. A cumulative GPA is derived from all pre-admission coursework earned at all undergraduate institutions.

For non-CAS applications, submit official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended (including Stockton's) directly to the Office of Graduate Admissions:
  • By mail:
Office of Graduate Admissions - N007a
    101 Vera King Farris Drive
    Galloway, NJ 08205-9441
  • Electronically:
    gradschool@stockton.edu
You can monitor the status of your application onlineOur application process is self-managed and the applicant is responsible for ensuring the Office of Graduate Admissions receives all required materials by, and/or postmarked prior to the stated deadline. Only completed applications will be considered and reviewed by the Admissions Committee. To view your program's deadline, please visit your program page.
Since graduate admissions are both limited and competitive, it is to your advantage to apply early and to ensure that all required materials are received before the deadline. Late applications will be reviewed only when openings remain after all on-time applications have been considered.

Next steps after you've applied:

Once your application has been reviewed by the Admissions Committee, our Office will email you your decision letter approximately 6 weeks after completion of your application EXCEPT for the programs listed below.  There are instances in which a possible delay could occur in the admissions notification process especially in graduate programs that utilize a waitlist. If you did not receive your decision letter beyond the expected timeframe, please e-mail gradschool@stockton.edu to inquire about your decision status.  In the e-mail please confirm your mailing address so that our team can review where your letter was mailed.

  • Applicants for the DPT program will be notified by January 14, 2023.
  • Applicants for the MSOT program will be notified by March 4, 2023.
  • Applicants for the MSCD will be notified by April 15, 2023.
  • Applicants for the MSW program will be notified by April 29, 2023.

In your acceptance letter, you will be encouraged to check your email (that you used for your application). In your email, you will find a link to the Electronic Admit Packet with next steps.

Accept or Decline: You must fill out the brief survey (included in the Electronic Admit Packet) to Accept or Decline Your Offer. The survey will record your answer and send it to the Office of Graduate Studies.

Acceptance Deposit: If you have been admitted to one of our graduate programs, we need you to confirm that you will be attending by paying the mandatory non-refundable acceptance deposit to reserve your place in the incoming class. This deposit will be applied to your tuition.  Please reference your admission letter for the deposit amount and due date. To make this payment, please log in to your goStockton Portal to pay the acceptance fee by Online electronic check, online credit card, or mail in a check or money order made payable to Stockton University.

If Waitlisted: If you have been placed on a waitlist, that means that you are a qualified candidate but there are more qualified applicants in the application pool than there are spaces available in your program. If you are removed from the waitlist and placed into an admit status, you will received a phone call and/or a text message from our office. Please ensure that your phone number is accurate on your Discover Stockton Account.

Graduate students can reside on campus through Stockton's Office of Residential Life. All housing facilities are wired for computer access and are completely furnished.
