As part of a continuing effort to develop a wide range of engaging, practical academic programs at the graduate level, Roger Williams offers a number of advanced degrees. With fewer than 1,000 graduate students at the University, you are sure to get the personal attention and support required to enter the working world or advanced academic study with confidence.

The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program trains students to become elementary school teachers. The Master of Arts in Literacy program is for certified teachers who want to develop competency as a reading specialist. The Master of Public Administration (MPA) program, located at our Providence campus, trains students for leadership positions in public service, government, military, nonprofit, and health care settings.

The Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) is designed for students who hold a pre-professional degree in the discipline. Our School of Engineering, Computing & Construction Management offers a master’s degree in Construction Management which will significantly enhance your ability to contribute to the construction enterprise at the highest levels.

Specific master’s programs include Criminal Justice, which prepares students to formulate policy at a range of justice system agencies, and the University’s new degree in Forensic Psychology, designed to train the next generation of civil and criminal justice system psychologists.

Additionally, Roger Williams is home to the Roger Williams University School of Law, the only law school in Rhode Island.
