Schools respond to growing demand for health law

  • Schools respond to growing demand for health law

New government laws and regulations have had a major impact on the lives of Americans. This is especially true in the field of health care where a growing number of professionals could benefit from being knowledgeable in legal studies. One university in New York is creating programs of study to accommodate this need.

    Job growth
Those interested in utilizing both skill sets in the professional world can rest assured knowing that they’re breaking into one of the fastest growing industries. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the projected job growth for Medical and Health Services Managers is 23 percent through 2022. In relation to other professions, this is much faster than average.

Aside from the ever changing health care laws and regulations, the BLS explained that the aging baby boomer generation is creating an increase in the demand for medical professionals. A focused advanced degree – specifically one that covers a number of skills in demand – can help a candidate’s chances of landing his or her dream job.
