Biological/Life Sciences

A Master's Degree in Biology program is a research-intensive course of study that requires students to engage in both laboratory and field work. At the graduate level, curricula tend to focus on biochemistry, cell biology, ecology and other related subjects. Students may be able to customize their course of study depending on the school at which they are pursuing their degree. A variety of specializations are available, including zoology, marine biology and botany. Master's Degrees in Biology typically take two years to complete and are a requirement for many doctoral programs in the subject.
