History

Individuals who have an interest in pursuing a career as a historian or archivist can enhance their career prospects by enrolling in a Master of Arts in History degree program. Students may be able to focus their studies on a specific geographic area, population or time period. Programs include the study of world history, American history, European history, the history of Puerto Rico, as well as the history of the military and the history of medicine. Following the completion of a master's program, individuals can work towards a Doctor of Philosophy in History which will allow them to pursue professorships at the college level.
