Speech/Speech Therapy

People who have a desire to help others with their speaking or language disorder can enroll in graduate programs in speech-language pathology. Students who are pursuing a master's degree in this subject will learn about various topics, including the theory and physiology of speech and the identification, assessment and treatment of speech, language and hearing disorders. Upon completion of this program, graduates can go on to work as speech therapists or continue their studies at the doctoral level. With a Doctor of Philosophy in Speech Pathology, graduates can work as college professors or speech therapy researchers.
